It seems like we've been hearing about hooded hero Alex Mercer for approximately one million human years. For awhile, it looked like Prototype might be cast off into development hell, never to see the light of day. However, friends, the day has come where you can take control of Mercer, fall from skyscrapers and bend the pavement.
From the X-Play review of Prototype by Matt Keil:
"Prototype is an open world game that sends you rampaging about an exceptionally well-recreated New York City in the middle of a zombie infection festooned with a military occupation. Alex wakes up in a morgue with no memory of who he is or how he got there, as well as a distinct level of superhuman power. He soon realizes that killing someone and absorbing their body allows him to read their memories as though they were his own."

infamous is the 360 version of prototype. similarites are undenible. but let me ask this, if there were as many ps3s as 360s, which would sell better?

IGN panned this game P~TPYE ! My buddy who's a solid 10 /1 kd in almost every game he plays , well he gave it a 9.5 ! He sent me a copy of Fall Out 3 for my B~day , maybe i'll score a new game for X~MAS ! Hey IGN stop taking Bribes 4 better Scores and stop giving everything a 10 !!!

protoype so fun but the 4 out of 5 is great there was some diffculties like grabbing some1 out of a tank/or helicopter to take control of i but overall it is very fun

hey all u grimy whiny hiney's!!! thsy are different games and for the casual gamer prototype is all that and a bag of chips!!!!!! infamous? u all should be gratefull u got a descent game to add to ur tiny little library as prototype is yet another fine addition to our huge library of great games to play!@!!! rockstar style multiplayer would have been a nice addition!!!! peace to u and even u ps3 players

I have both game and though prototype wins in the mass destruction category, InFamous has such a better story, the decisions that you make actually effct the overall story. Prototype makes the character able to have abilites but few are specifically used for missions, while in Infamous practically every power you get is used for a variety of missions, and sometimes are an absolute necessity. I'm not baggin on Prototype, I find it to be pretty good! just fid InFamous to be a tad better!

I found prototype to be an awesome adrenalin filled massacre of a game, while infamous seemed like a third person shooter with electricity instead of guns. I like both games but I've always been a fan of incredible hulk: ultimate destruction, and prototype replaced that game immediately. I just wish that both games were multiplatform so people would stop flaming.

Prototype- looks bad, Mercer is emo, controls aren't tight enough, story is goofy.
inFamous - nice electrical effects, controls are just shy of perfect, story had a nice twist to it.
inFamous is probably my favorite superhero game to date. Prototype is (so far) one of those games I wish I had rented instead of bought. Or maybe just passed on altogether. It doesn't feel like they put much effort into it to me. Buildings are flat with bad textures, the water looks like gel, and the powers are all so overpowered that you don't care which you're using most of the time.

I am loving Prototype, and look forward to a sequel. Infamous, though I have only played the demo, was alot of fun as well.

i agree ingamous is not that great while prototype is better in many ways. also they should have made prototype only for 360. i think this becuase pS3 owners have infamous and they say they don't like prototype so i think it should have bn a 360 exclusiove.

just cause i'd rather have adam sessler rant and rave about another thing. how and why do people compare infamous and prototype? its two different games with two different storylines and characters. true they are both sandbox games but thats where the similarities end.

I understand how easy it is to compare the two games, but there isn't going to be any particular detail that makes one better than the other.
There's always going to be people on the other side of the fence. That's what it means to have opinions.
