Cheats and Walkthroughs

There's plenty of excitement surrounding Tim Schafer's next game, the epic, metal-infused Brutal Legend, but E3 was filled with fanboy squealing after LucasArts announced plans to revitalize the Monkey Island series, which Schafer was heavily involved with. In addition to a graphical update of the original Monkey Island for Xbox Live Arcade and PC, there are episodic adventures coming to WiiWare and PC.
But what does Schafer think of the new Monkey Island games? Joystiq asked.
"I'm excited that you can play the original one again," he said. "Dave is doing the new episodes, Dave Grossman. Other than Ron [Gilbert], there's probably no one else that should really be doing that. I'm really happy about that."
Grossman and Gilbert were Schafer's chief collaborators on Monkey Island. Though Schafer seems to be understandably distancing himself from the project -- he declined a post-E3 request from yours truly to talk about Monkey Island -- it seems to have his cautiously optimistic stamp of approval.
