It's been a few weeks since Sucker Punch and Sony dropped inFamous. Their open-world hero story was supposed to release closer to Activision and Radical Entertaniment's similar-playing Prototype. While anticipation for both games was riding high, now that most people have played through a chunk of inFamous (or in many cases, already finished it!), are you still going to be picking up Prototype? Tell us!

I'm just getting Prototype. I guarantee if that came out first inFamous would get lower scores.

I bought Prototype and loved the ending. inFAMOUS sucked. I'm sorry, I'm actually just joking because i don't even have a PS3. You know what kind of a douche I'd be if I meant that. inFAMOUS looks like a great game and is one of the reasons i'd get a PS3 along with Uncharted 2 and God of War 3. I cannot compare inFAMOUS to Prototype but Prototype was a great game considering it's small faults. The dodge roll move was unforgivable though. Hopefully ther's a sequel with more powers and an answer to New York's fate about the infection. I wish people would get over the whole console war, just shut up and play the great games offered.

Prototype had a reaallly short storyline.... i finished it in five days... it was great!! till it ended.. hopefully inFamous will be better..

skipped infamous for prototype, been waiting for too long. the only thing they really have in common is the sandbox and a superhuman...other than that they are totally different. prototype has the two wars going on at the same time, a stealth mechanic (while not a big one), and no karma you are just automatically a bad ass haha

getting prototype tomorrow, oh and infamous was fun for a while but with those crappy powers it got stale fast............you were very limited and climbed up buildings too damn slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup. What kinda of gamer would I be if I ignored games just cause they had some similarity to another. Its rare you'll get a game like none other you've played. Gonna pwn

Prototype is a great game as long as you don't compare it to Infamous. If you do it's just average. The graphics aren't as polished as Infamous and the story failed to suck me in like Infamous. The side missions are incredibly generic and boring and once again don't suck you in at all. I'm finding myself just destroying base after base to rack up XP instead of doing tedious side missions. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad game and maybe even worth buying, just don't compare it to Infamous or it's a crushing dissapointment.

first, why ps3 vs 360?...silly. I just want to know whether: 1) is the comparison worth it?? we all are bored with no drug (plat sell vs. game!!) out, so is this our fix??
2) Is what we have to play worth it?? The cart before the horse only leads to wicked awesome crash!! None of us compare the last breed this month to late '08 schwagg!!!! Sessler's review states the game well. I have it and enjoy the game. If I had a PS3, I would have bought Infamous first.

Is it just me or is it the people that only have a 360 that seem to make this a inFamous vs PROTOTYPE thing? As someone who owns a PS3 I plan to buy both on the same day.

i'm probably getting this even though overall inFamous is still better...it's kind of obvious not even for being a ps3 exclusive i just think it looks more complete than prototype...but of course my opinion may change upon playing prototype because they are way too different to keep comparing them, i mean every review i've seen made note that they play nothing alike so...yea

I beat inFamous once and I'm on my second playthrough and just started Prototype today and I must say I'm liking inFamous a lot better so far. But to compare these two are like comparing apples to oranges, they're both open world but they play a LOT differently and the story is very different also.

First of all yes i got it yesterday second the next person to compare these games like sports teams im going to kick them in the nads sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o hard the only thing similar open world and super powers there good games in them selves but your pis5ing everyone off

yup i got infamous and beat it last week and in still getting prototype i don't see why people are always comparing two different things to one another
