I was able to describe the first artwork for the upcoming Legend of Zelda game for Wii earlier this week, but Nintendo wouldn't let anyone in attendance take a picture. Thankfully, though, it released the artwork officially today. What do you think this tells us about the next Zelda game?

AWESOME we will be able to use bombs to open up secret walls, just like LTTP. (excited) as for speculation maybe you have to play a while without a sword, using other items first. (just a thought, hasn't really been done yet) focus on the shield and other items first. any speculaton on a new ultimate item you can use (i.e. double claw-shot, or invisibility cape return, or the red staff from LTTP)

I just looked at the painting again and i'm starting to think it might be the master sword but I still think she looks kind of like a fary. i'm kind of half and half.

It does look like Ruto, the Zora princess by use of the new art style, also like the master sword. Maybe they're going down the same line as Minish cap and will have an evil Zora that stole the master sword by using the princess. Good and evil cross with the blade and she gets stuck fused with it. You never know what direction Nintendo is going to go until they say.

I don't think the girl in the painting is the master sowrd 9even though that would be cool) I think that she is going to be your fary. mabey she is related to navy. I am so happy that they are finally making a new muture zelda game, but I really like the other cartoony ones. I think I really like them both the some. actually I only liked toon link on the D.S. I HATED him on the game cube. I am really looking forewerd to this game. Nintendo is really makeing a lot of good games now. I'm actually overwhelmed with all the great games that are comming out. I'm glad I gat a really good job for the summer so I can afored them.

i think that the girl behind link is like the soul of the master sword Eiji Aonuma said that the new game was going to be much different so maybe link can release her from the sword or something during a fight as magic just as long as it is limited to that i don't want a co-op zelda game

Dude, Link is Link regardless of which hand he uses. Windwaker Link is not the same Link from the Ocarina of Time Link, so maybe one is left handed and the other one is right handed. BIG DEAL GET OVER IT!!! Toon Link or serious Link, it doesn't matter either. They are all pretty cool. Every Zelda game depicts different Links at different ages. So, maybe a child Link isn't as brave as an adult Link (common sense people). BANDWAGON ZELDA FANS SHOULD SHUT THE FUDGE UP!!! A true Zelda fan appreciates any Zelda game. That being said, The Legend of Zelda games are the only games that can bring me back to Nintendo, maybe.

nice picture...and an exciting concept...but everyone knows Link's left handed (except for the Wii mirror flip)...the shield is in the wrong hand

It amazing how we were all bumbed out with no new zelda and now that they released this pic were all bouncing off the walls, but even so as much speculation as we make nintendo probly gona come back and show how we are completely wrong on who this girl is and how she relates.

Wow, this poster has me salivating so much I had to sandbag my mouth. I am very much intrigued by the character in the poster, but I'm not going to speculate because I'd probably be wrong (like most of you probably are). This looks pimpin' from the poster, but all Nintendo's really done is announce the fact that they're making a new Zelda game. That's fine by me, they can take as long as they need to for them to make an amazing game, but I don't like that it's generating this much of a buzz over something that's probably either going to be something completely different, or a reimagining of an already-established character (within reason. I mean, it's probably not going to be Darunia). I'm intensely curious about the character's identity (just like all of you are), but I'm sure they're not going to keep us in the dark for too much longer. Give it a few months or so.
In conclusion, I'm hoping the game turns out to be a flippin' shweet as the quality of Zelda games we've come to expect.

well my myamoto does mention on a clip that in the new zelda Link is much older(close to adulthood) and at first will not have a sword...so that means there is a link with the master sword and that female creature in the artwork...
i wonder how many years after TP will this new zelda game be...im so looking forward for it though

i think the female creature is somewhat related to something in Link's past....the legend of zelda games always follow a great timeline...maybe she is the spirit of the Master Sword...but my bet is she has some connection with Zelda or Midna from Twilight princess
