During its E3 2009 press conference, Ubisoft announced that a sequel to No More Heroes, the stylistic odd-fest that helped usher in the floundering genre of mature Wii games a few years back, was in production and would be published by Ubisoft sometime down the line.
Now, no doubt many an NMH fan was more than a little pleased to hear the news. However, according to Joystiq, who caught up with Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Goichi Suda (aka Suda 51) on the show floor, it seems that a bit of last-minute rearranging actually prevented No More Heroes 2 from receiving the proper unveiling that was supposedly planned for the game.
I’m going to guess that the last-minute bump had less to do with the game not being in reveal-quality shape and more to do with a certain high-profile director deciding to discuss his own project for a solid six hours without blinking or taking a single breath.
What are your theories, assuming Suda 51 is telling the truth?
