PSP LogoSony is throwing a lot of love at the PSP this year and beyond. During its E3 2009 press conference, Sony revealed a slew of upcoming hit franchises coming to the PSP, including Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, LittleBigPlanet, Resident Evil, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, Gran Turismo, Assassin’s Creed: Blood Lines, and Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

Several of the new PSP titles will support PS3 integration in some form, but details are few and far between at this point. No word yet on confirmed release dates either, so stay tuned. And be sure to check back throughout the week for hands-on impressions of all the PSP titles from the E3 '09 show floor.

Update: A few more games heading to the PSP this year are Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3, Hot Shots Tennis and a new Petz title.
