BioWare revealed their first cinematic trailer for their PC MMORPG game, Star Wars: The Old Republic at their E3 2009 press conference. Though there's no release date set for the game, you'd have to admit that the impressive graphics in this trailer is enough to get any Star Wars fans riled up for the new adventure.
It's also good enough to make you forget about those godawful prequels with Jar Jar Binks...at least, a little bit. Give us more, BioWare!

I love how the Jedi's Lightsaber falls to the ground and the emitter lens just smokes.

as a life long star wars fan i must ask what non nerd half way normal person uses a computer to play games besideds bejeweled and freecell on? the answer no one..

No one? I think the 11million that play WoW, 7mil that play L2 and the countless other mmo's would disagree.
I for one think it's a great idea, any mmo that would go to a console only would die a pretty fast death. or on a console at all.
I mean you only have so many buttons on a controller.

looks like crap. Just like all the star wars movies.

I had a geekasim.
ate2324: The several million people playing WoW every day, to name a few. I can understand wanting a KOTOR 3 instead of an MMO, but on the flip side this is like a KOTOR game that has infinite replayability, lots of different character choices, and a different experience each time. Plus I hear that they're thinking of possibly doing something other than a monthly fee, so that could work out decently as well. I'd suggest waiting until you know more details before freaking out about it.

as a life long star wars fan i must ask what non nerd half way normal person uses a computer to play games besideds bejeweled and freecell on? the answer no one.. this game is such a let down to console users who were expecting a real kotor 3. im utterly dissapointed yet again with a star wars game and lucas arts and everyone involved.
