Microsoft debuted the first details on Metal Gear Solid Rising at their E3 press conference this morning, but there's a reason Microsoft wasn't bragging about this Raiden-starring adventure being an Xbox 360 exclusive -- it isn't.
"You know, we didn't say that it was exclusive," clarified Xbox executive and corporate VP John Schappert (he was the guy hosting most of the event) during an interview with me immediately following the press conference.
"We said that the next Metal Gear will be coming [to Xbox 360]," he said.
"I couldn't be more excited about him [Kojima] working on that [Metal Gear Solid Rising] and having that be part of our show," said Schappert. "When I heard about that, I was pretty ecstatic and it was an honor to be able to be on stage with him and announcing his next Metal Gear, which will be on Xbox 360."
Of course, Schappert wasn't in a position to announce where else Metal Gear Solid Rising would be appearing, but could series creator Hideo Kojima be pleasing everyone by announcing this latest work at one conference, and then showing it at another? We'll have to wait and find out tomorrow morning at Sony's E3 conference.
And thus, the waiting game continues.

Are you freaking kidding me? Yes there were 2 Halos (ODST and Reach) and they will be awesome! But seeing how you seemed to miss the rest of the 360 conference we have Splinter Cell Conviction, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza 3, Shadow Complex, Project Natal, and others that weren't mention like Mass Effect 2. Also Crackdown 2 was announced. So to say the 360 has nothing is just dumb. You are obviously upset that all these great titles are coming and you are doing nothing more than acting like a complete baby. Get use to it PS3 fanboys. 360 has a great lineup and its only going to get better.

Good for 360 users, but this isn't a big deal as many are pointing it out to be. The Gamecube had a MGS spinoff and that's all this is as well, a MGS spinoff for 360. This is not MGS4. I also find it EXTREMELY funny at how many 360 fanboys are jumping for joy when the mast majority of you were calling MGS4 nothing but a big movie. Heads up: MGS Rising will be exactly like that. That's Kojima's style.
I am glad that you can finally enjoy Kojima if all you have is a 360 but for all those Xbox 360 fanboys, you are just hypocrites.

im sad but happy though, the ps3 took a huge blow now i know sony is going to have to pull something big tommorrow and for the xbox 360 im happy they get to experince something they where left out of
P.S. i own both but i love my ps3 more though i play xbox live more often XD

Why not throw the 360 kiddies a good game for a change? They've got nothing else. And besides PS3 is still getting it and 360 has 'lost' more exclusives than PS3 has. It's hardly worth whining about.

I thought it was funny that kevin morgan and adam all thought 360 is getting all the previous games and the new one also.
Unless I missed that somewhere in the announcement. :D

This is a spin off, not Metal Gear Solid 5 or 4. And the PS3 version will be downloadable if you have MGS4.

although im happy for the 360 players who don't have the money to buy a ps3 to play mgs

cuz i would understand if I had the 360
that I would want this, because Metal gear is a fantastic game!

Well it's like I said in my comment on the other Metal Gear post. Kojima can't afford to ignore the 360. But at the same time, alot of the companies (NOT saying Konami is one of them, I'm just generalizing) can't afford to stick to an exclusive platform. the perfect example is SquareEnix and the Final Fantasy XIII.
