Microsoft debuted the first details on Metal Gear Solid Rising at their E3 press conference this morning, but there's a reason Microsoft wasn't bragging about this Raiden-starring adventure being an Xbox 360 exclusive -- it isn't.
"You know, we didn't say that it was exclusive," clarified Xbox executive and corporate VP John Schappert (he was the guy hosting most of the event) during an interview with me immediately following the press conference.
"We said that the next Metal Gear will be coming [to Xbox 360]," he said.
"I couldn't be more excited about him [Kojima] working on that [Metal Gear Solid Rising] and having that be part of our show," said Schappert. "When I heard about that, I was pretty ecstatic and it was an honor to be able to be on stage with him and announcing his next Metal Gear, which will be on Xbox 360."
Of course, Schappert wasn't in a position to announce where else Metal Gear Solid Rising would be appearing, but could series creator Hideo Kojima be pleasing everyone by announcing this latest work at one conference, and then showing it at another? We'll have to wait and find out tomorrow morning at Sony's E3 conference.
And thus, the waiting game continues.

its sad that there has to be exclusives cause it just gives ps3 and 360 something fanboys to fight over why cant we just accept that both have an equal amount of good games and leave it at that

no its not exclusive to 360, cuz Kojima loves his country of course so that means it will come to the PS3, and also this isnt MGS5 its just a spin off. MGS5 is on PSP its called MGS PEACE WLKER

this is why i hate fanboys people should be happy for multiplatform in todays economy people cant afford 600 dollars or 400 dollars for a console its cheeper for the xbox 360 yes but multiplatform keeps a company alive instead of goin bankrupt be happy games go multiplatform who cares if sony and xbox have the same game it is not going to make your experience worse be happy stop arguin over useless crap

Personally, I think it is more of an honor to be able to play a MSG game on the 360, including FF13, so as a 360 player I will not gloat, but will only enjoy.

MGS Franchise was never Sony exclusive. MGS 4 however was. MGS without Solid Snake is fail.

Great another game ruined because it is going to the 360. This game will be no where near good as MGS4 because it is not just on the ps3. Whatever I still hope for the best.

I don't see what all you fanboys are whining about.I own all three consoles and i hope sony have a good showing tomorrow like microsoft did.What you fanboys need to do is boycott the nintendo wii.My wii has been collecting dust for almost 2 years.I think the wii is bad for gaming.I'm not a fanboy cause i own one,i'm just being honest! obviously mgs4 wasn't a system seller so let the xbots have it. i think ff hurt alot more. lets hope for some good announcements tommarow. btw ubisoft had the most horribly boring showing ever. thank you microsoft for keeping your fastpaced and entertaining

This game is confirmed for ps3, 360, and...yea...pc too. Ign found the listing or something konami sent in. New details at Sony's press conference tomorrow. Cant wait to see what Sony has in store, as if ps3's line up for this year wasnt massive already. Boo yAh wanna see some ratchet and clank, jak and daxter and GOD OF WAR!!!
