The Feed’s Patrick Klepek sends his love to y'all from the Microsoft press luncheon, and here is a quick rundown of some of the products and services that have been shown thus far.

It looks as though On Demand gaming is coming to XBLA in August. The service is expected to launch with over 30 titles including Mass Effect, Bioshock, Assassin’s Creed, Sonic Unleashed, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, Burnout Paradise, Crackdown, DiRT, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, and Fight Night Round 3. Games can be purchased with a credit card, and are expected to be priced close to their retail counterparts.

Microsoft also showed off a slew of new avatar clothing content, as well as its new avatar awards system, which will let developers offer avatar items within their games. These will include props and new “full body outfits.” One of the costumes on display was armor from Halo 3: ODST, accompanied by a little remote controlled Warthog that isn’t actually usable, but rather just accompanies your avatar.

The avatar system apparently now includes 100 million clothing combinations, a fact Microsoft is quite proud of, with more free content on the way. In response to users’ calls for content from real-world companies, Microsoft will also be introducing avatar content that users will have to pay for, such as berets (80 points) or game-inspired content like a Halo 3 T-shirt (80 points).

Various music franchises will also be getting their own Marketplace “stores,” including Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Lips. The Lips store was demoed, and featured the ability to browse music, and, presumably, purchase tracks directly from the Marketplace rather than having to buy from inside the game.

There's plenty more news coming your way as G4 and G4tv.com's E3 '09 coverage continues, so stay tuned and stay connected.
