Among the many revelations at Microsoft's E3 2009 press conference was the confirmation that Metal Gear Solid is coming to the 360. Hideo Kojima was on hand at the conference to show off Metal Gear Solid Rising. The new game won't star Solid Snake, instead, Raiden will be the focus of the game. Lightning bolt!
According to Kojima, Rising is a "completely new Metal Gear game and you can look forward to many more.” Other than that, the man had little more to say about the title.
"I can't say more now," Kojima said, "but I can promise you that it will be a completely new experience."
What do you think, gamers? Is this huge news or what?

Why would we be jealous? We had MGS for all these years I think it was a good idea bringing it to the 360 so people who own a 360 but not a ps3 can enjoy this great game series, But 360 will be limited to the features the PS3 will have so In the end Microsoft still fails :]

I might be wrong but i thinki there be two new metal gear solid games one for xbox 360 and 1 for PS3. Im Ps3 fan hate xbox 360 but for people that are fan of MGS that cant get Ps3 congratz. Now for wat i think i think that Raiden will be the Xbox 360 MGS and Big Boss will be the Ps3 MGS if u think about it if u watched kojima teaser on his site it had Raiden and Big boss might not of been watching good enough but i didn't see anything about big boss or solid snake so maybe Raiden is just for xbox and PS3 fans such as myself get better character Big boss.

It better be for both PS3 and xbox if it's an xbox exclusive i will just kill myself lol o well it's all about the money i can just hear the xbox fan boys right now lol o well.

This hasn't been confirmed as a 360 exclusive yet there is talk about it being multiplat so all you fanboys get your heads out of your asses before you start trying to squak all your stupid talk. If it does end up being an exclusive why should you care anyway? If you refuse to play the game because it hurts your delicate fanboy sensibilities then just don't bother going out of your way to play it (we know some of you probably will and still moan about it anyway) Face the facts folks more and more third party developers are going multiplat now and there's nothing wrong with that at all.
In regards to the game it would be nice to see a different take on the series. As a side story this could be interesting if it's done well. Knowing Kojima's past work I'm sure it will be. Raiden was a lot cooler in MGS on PS3 even though he was in it for a short period of time. Perhaps this is his moment to redeem his reputation. Since he's the least favorite of all the characters in MGS history.

Personally, this is just good news for me. I have the luxury of owning both a 360/PS3, and have already tasted the awesomeness of MGS4 on its native home, the PS3. I think this is HUGE news for 360 owners who can't afford both platforms, and are big MGS fans. They finally get to experience a flavor of the MGS franchise on the 360. I wonder if Kojima is changing the gameplay style for this title. Looking forward to more details.
I'm also looking forward to reading all the hypocritical comments from the 360 trolls on these blogs, who previously bashed MGS, and are now singing a different tune. I see one in here already.

I loved how Morgan adam and Kevin thought 360 is getting all the previous MGS games not just the new one.By franchise he meant the new one rising.Also they announce FFXIII for the second time.
