DICE has revealed that their homage Battlefield 1943 will offer a fourth unlockable map, The Coral Sea. How would you suppose they'd have you unlock it? Why racking up a global kill count of 43,000,000 community kills. Yeesh.
At least they're not nightmarish World of Warcraft collect quests to open the gates of AQ.
1943 comes out in June for the PS3 and Xbox 360 for $15 with the PC release coming in September.

that is the lamest thing ever...like larrysafari said...who the F is gonna be there to play with you when you reach that? I hope what they mean is that once the entire user base racks up 43M kills EVERYONE gets it. Otherwise they can go screw.

That is a really interesting idea. I wonder if there will be a counter so people will know how close you are. I cant wait for this game, it should bring back so many classic memories.

I was thinking the same thing for a moment, and I thought to myself...WTF?!? Then I actually took a moment to actually think it through and I really like this idea. I can't wait to see how fast the community unlocks the map.

cool I was thinking individually like Seriously 2.0 with gears but that would be a disgusting thing to put on each player bcecause there probably would only be like 10 people to get that many in a few months

Oh, that doesnt seem like too many kills, lol. What kind of idea is this. Once you actually get the magic number how many people will even have 43million kills. Oh well Ill still get the game, looks colorful.
