Guitar Hero 5

As part of the Guitar Hero 5 Online Scavenger Hunt, we've got the names of eight bands that will be appearing in the game. You won't find these listed on any other site. These eight will help you complete your list, which can be entered at GH5.GuitarHero.com (Registration Required) to "participate in The Guitar Hero 5 Tickets, 5 Concerts Sweepstakes and enter to win a set of 5 tickets to 5 different concerts in their hometown."

You have from now until June 25, 2009 to get your entries logged. Guitar Hero 5 will be released this Fall for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2.

Additionally, Wolfmother (probably, definitely one of the bands slated for Guitar Hero 5) will be releasing their new single "Back Round" as a free download at GuitarHero.com starting today. This is the first time a band has made a digital version of a song available through a music game for straight playback, and not gameplay. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Are you ready for the eight bands?

  1. Wolfmother
  2. Rammstein
  3. Beck
  4. Garbage
  5. Billy Squier
  6. My Morning Jacket
  7. Kaiser Chiefs
  8. Brand New

What do you think of the list? Looks pretty good to me!

Get them entered over at GH5.GuitarHero.com!

X-Play scored an interview with Andrew Stockdale, the singer of Wolfmother, who talks to Kristin Adams about Guitar Hero 5:
