Resistance fans have a new reason to log into Home this week, as Insomniac Games launches the official Resistance space within the virtual world. In addition to providing a place for Resistance gamers to congregate and chat, the Resistance space includes a turret mini-game, leaderboards, reward items and game launching.

Game launching, however, will only work for Resistance 2, not the original.

Insomniac Games will be supporting the launch this week and in the future with weekly "Resistance 2: SPRA Siege" sessions on Thursday from 6:00pm to 12:00am PST. This week, expect a load of Insomniac Games developers to show up, too.

Engaging in any of this requires me to update Home, though. When's the last time you logged in? I took a look at the beta and haven't been back since.
