Capcom is handling its top creative minds with kid gloves in light of the recent swine flu epidemic. Keiji Inafune, the company's head of research & development, was ordered to cancel his appearance at this week's Nordic Game Conference. According to Gamesindustry.biz, a spokesperson for the show said:
I haven't been able to confirm reports that Inafune was kicking and screaming at the decision, telling his superiors that they are a bunch of pansies for denying him the joys of Scandinavia over a silly germ. Whether that's true or not, I'm positive that Inafune is made from sturdier stuff and would have attended if Capcom (and really, Japan in general) wasn't so paranoid about the swine flu.
