Good news Naughty Dog fans. No, that Jason Rubin/Iron Maiden lawsuit hasn’t been thrown out. Rubin and fellow Naughty Dog founder Andrew Gavin have teamed up, with the help of Flextor co-founder Jason Kay, for their triumphant return to gaming in the form of a new casual-centric company, Monkey Gods.
According to its website, the company is focusing on, “development and distribution of games for social networks, the iPhone, and game consoles including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii.” The first titles being released are a multiplayer word game called Monkwerks and a “re-invention” of the PC puzzler Snood for the iPhone.
The site is incomplete and a bit buggy at the moment, and significant details are few at this point. But if you're a fan of these guys' work, and you've been waiting tirelessly for them to get back into gaming, today is a great day for you.
Anyone like that around here?
