If you're a fan of E!'s The Soup (and really, who isn't?) you'll be happy to know that the show's producers are creating a new show to take on the internet, right here on G4. Web Soup will do for internet videos what The Soup does for TV -- skewer it, twist it and make it extra ha-ha funny.
Web Soup debuts Sunday, June 7 at 9pm ET/PT on G4, and will be hosted by stand up comedian and Attack of the Show gadget guy Chris Hardwick. Like The Soup, Web Soup will feature themed segments like The Daily Upload, This Week in FAIL and Things You Can’t Un-See, as well as recurring characters and other surprises, so the forecast calls for lulz with a high probability of ROFLs.
Neal Tiles, President, G4, put it this way: “Not only can Chris Hardwick dole out hilarious off-the-cuff commentary, he also possesses a deep knowledge of digital culture, which makes him the ideal host for Web Soup. We are excited to put G4’s spin on this popular franchise.”
So set your TiVo for June 7th at 9PM, right here on G4.

Chris Hardwick sucks. Not funny at all. This show is lame and doesn't even come close to being as good as The Soup. Maybe get a new host with a better comedic delivery. Or just cancel the show and go back to watching Tosh.0

I've never really watched The Soup before. Web Soup interests me a bit, so I'll definitely check this out and maybe watch a few episodes...at least until Code Monkeys: Season 3 is announced. :P

I don't know...it could be great, like the original Soup! Or it could be crappy, like Style's version of the Soup (agonizing!). It does sound a lot like ATN; I guess this means this will be the 3rd show about the internet on G4's website, but the 1st on actual TV! How crazy is that? I think Chris will make it work; he's incredibly funny in whatever he does: on a show, on stage, or just being himself!
