Korea Creative Content Agency = Creative JuggernautFor all of those folks out there who have been wondering when South Korea would create some kind of creative juggernaut consisting of various organizations from TV, videogames, animation and the Internet, you’ll be happy to know that it finally happened.

Variety reports that South Korea has launched the Korea Creative Content Agency, a massive conglomeration that combines the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the Culture and Content Agency, Game Industry Agency and the Broadcasting Institute. Not included in the new mega-agency is the Korean Film Council, which will remain independent.

It’s quite an ambitious undertaking, and with a $144 million/year budget, an expensive one as well. And Lost fans will be pleased to know that Yunjin Kim (aka Sun Kwon) has been tapped to be the agency’s ambassador. You know, assuming she doesn’t get caught in some space/time rift in the meantime.
