Uwe Boll isn't making video game movies these days. Some could argue that's a good thing, though I wouldn't. His movies may not be "good," but they are awesome. No, Boll is currently in Africa with actors Billy Zane, Kristanna Loken and Edward Furlong shooting a movie about the massacres in Darfur.
Right now, the movie is simply titled Darfur. There are no jokes to be made here, really. Whether or not Boll is able to produce a compelling piece of cinema out of the tragedies in Darfur remains to be seen, but given the subject matter, you have to respect the man for trying.
Boll recently passed along a series of photographs from the set of Darfur. None of the named actors are to be found -- in fact, these shots don't look as though they're from the set of a movie at all.
So far, Mr. Boll, color me intrigued. Keep reading for more shots.
