First of all, it's disgraceful that Xbox Insider misspelled Pernell Whitaker's name. He was an amazing fighter -- certainly the best defensive fighter I've seen live. I'm slightly less offended by the misspellings of Kermit Cintron, Edwin Valero, Emmanuel Augustus, and others. Moving on to the positive tip, I'm thrilled that young pugilists like Valero and Victor Ortiz are on the list. I'm pleased that the legendary Carlos Monzon and the late, great Diego "Chico" Corrales are there. I'm shocked as hell that anyone cared enough to include Vivian Harris. I'm even more shocked that Oscar De La Hoya is nowhere to be found.
EA could not be reached at this time to confirm or deny the roster. Keep in mind that this list is from a smaller web site that couldn't be bothered to spell the names of several boxers properly. It might be accurate, but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. I mean, Vivian Harris?!? Does anyone outside of the Harris family care? Furthermore, current fighters in the heavyweight division are sorely lacking. Eddie Chambers? That's it? No Klitschko brothers? No David Haye? Not even Povetkin? On second thought, I'm not buying this list.
Anyway, let me know what you think of alleged roster. Any inclusions or omissions surprise you?
