EA Sports has announced that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and Grand Slam Tennis for Wii will be available a bit earlier than expected. Their release dates were moved up in order to coincide with Nintendo's June 8 release of the Wii MotionPlus accessory. In today's press release, EA Sports group vice president Todd Sitrin said:
Here's my translation of Sitrin's quote: "Nintendo was flip-flopping on the release date of Wii MotionPlus. EA Sports thought it was going to be mid-June, but Nintendo went ahead and put it out a week earlier. We look like tools if we don't have our MotionPlus products out when the accessory comes is available. Thanks a lot Nintendo!"
Seriously though, I'm greatly looking forward to Grand Slam Tennis and I know that a lot of Tiger fans are curious to see what Wii MotionPlus brings to the table. Getting the games earlier is totally cool with me!
