Sony Europe president David Reeves has announced his retirement, but don't expect him to go quietly into the night. In a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Reeves declared that the PlayStation 3 will dominate...in a few years.
Sorry Sony fans -- Reeves' proclamation has essentially doomed PlayStation 3. Remember, this is the guy that said there are no plans for a PlayStation Portable successor, exclusives are thing of the past, and it's important for Sony to make money. (Man, I'm going to miss this guy.)
Yes, I was totally kidding. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the PlayStation 3 was beating out the Xbox 360 in three to five years. Certainly Sony has a lot of work to do, but it's an achievable goal. Still...David Reeves...the voice of death....
What do you guys think? Will the PS3 dominate the market in three to five years? Or was this just another wacky quote from Reeves? Let me hear it, peeps!
