Valve's Weekend Special Means PC Gamers Have No Excuse Not To Own 'The Orange Box'

Orange Box Review »

If you're a PC gamer and you haven't picked up Valve's outstanding The Orange Box then you've just ran out of excuses. The company has announced that the set will be on sell this weekend via Steam.

"The weekend special on Steam is The Orange Box, an award-winning collection of Valve titles including Portal, Team Fortress 2, and the Half-Life 2 family of games. For this weekend only, The Orange Box is being offered at 66% off its regular price to customers worldwide. In the USA for example, the 66% discount means all five games included in Orange are just $9.99. Visit www.steamgames.com for more information."

This is an amazing value that any self-respecting PC-gamer should snatch up. Even if you're not into the more traditional gameplay of Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2, Portal is one of the most inventive and interesting games I've played in years. I am of the opinion that every gamer -- PC or console -- should experience Portal. It completely rules.

If you don't already have The Orange Box, will you snatch up this special? If you've played it on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, will you pick it up via Steam too?
