EA Sports has announced the launch of the EA Sports Complex subsection of PlayStation Home. In today's press release, the company described Complex as a "3D social gaming community that allows users to interact communicate and share gaming experiences online". Here are some additional details from the release:
The subsection is still being tweaked and additional features (including more mini-games) will be added on a rolling basis. This essentially makes Complex a beta within a beta. I played around with it a bit last March and saw some amusing features. Gamers can interact with other sports fans, check out gameplay movies, view leaderboards , play the mini-games, and more. It's an interesting marketing tool, though I question how many people are interested in a product like Complex (I fully admit that I'm hardly the target market for it).
What do you think guys and gals? I know there are a lot of PlayStation Home haters reading TheFeed. Would a new subsection make Home more interesting for you? Or will you file this one under "I don't give a damn"?
