Have you forgotten that Capcom once announced that Devil May Cry was coming to the PSP? It's okay if you did; that was way back in 2005. Remember those bygone days? When everyone was watching The Simple Life, following the soap opera marriage of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline and doing the Charleston? Capcom really hasn't mentioned a handheld Devil may Cry much since then, but according to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, the game is not coming to the PSP. It's been canceled.
Capcom's not talking about why they pulled the plug or when, but it seems like a weird decision to me. Devil May Cry is perfect for the PSP, and judging from the success of God of War: Chains of Olympus, handheld versions of PlayStation 2 games can work very, very well.
Good idea or not, you won't be able to play Devil May Cry on your PSP unless you have a time machine and travel back to the carefree days of 2005 to convince Capcom to finish making the game. But seriously, if you have a time machine, why aren't you killing Hitler right now?
