PlayStation Home is growing, and the newest residents to move into Sony's virtual-reality lobby are straight up gangsters. Today, a Godfather II space opens in Home. The space will feature a Texas Hold ‘Em table, so get your virtual poker face ready. To celebrate the launch, Sony is holding its first celebrity poker tournament in-world tonight. Dress your avatar up like a famous person and head on down to play some cards. The game starts at 5 PM PST. I'm totally going as Britney Spears!
In other Home news: Sony is refreshing the Resident Evil 5 game space with a new mini-game quest and a souvenir shop with new costumes. Next Thursday, between 3PM and 7PM Pacific, get ready to play Resident Evil 5 co-op with Capcom's staff. Home Community Management team members and Capcom staff will be launching into co-op games of RE5 with PlayStation Home users. The sessions will last for one chapter or 20 minutes -- whichever comes first.
Now that some of the possibilities of PlayStation Home are starting to be realized, what do you think? Is it living up to the hype? If you have a PlayStation 3, how much time do you spend in Home? If you don't, are you jealous?
