Dates For The Pokemon Video Game Championships AnnouncedPokemon USA has announced the dates for Pokemon Video Game World Championships. If you think your Pokemon training and battling skills are elite then here's your chance to shine. The best players from America, Japan, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom will throw down in epic Pokemon battles. For American trainers, the road to the top starts with the regional tournaments. Here are the dates and locations:

  • May 9 - Seattle, WA
  • May 16 - San Francisco, CA
  • May 23 - Phoenix, AZ
  • May 30 - Dallas, TX
  • June 6 - Philadelphia, PA
  • June 13 - Nashville, TN

As an added bonus, registrants for the regional events will have the opportunity to win a shiny Milotic (a cool water Pokemon). The national championship takes place on June 27 in St. Louis, MO and the world championship takes place on August 14 in San Diego, CA. For specific tournament rules and information, head on over to the official site.

While ignorant people might dismiss Pokemon as a kiddie game, smart gamers know that competitive play takes a lot of time, patience, skill, and practice. I'd love to see one of the readers of TheFeed do some damage in the tournament. Anyone thinking of giving it a shot?
