French game-makers Ubisoft revealed a tiny bit of info about Assassin's Creed 2 in a web teaser video today.
Based on the famous anatomy drawing of Leonardo Da Vinci, the teaser shows a hidden assassin's blade, and the framework for a large pair of wings behind Da Vinci's man. I doubt the game will feature flapping, so I'm guessing gliding silently into town to take out targets. Death from above! Also, the rumor is Assassin's Creed 2 takes place in Italy, and the Da Vinci drawings lend it more credence. Not a confirmation, but close.
By the way, at the end of the "experience," there's a bit of reversed writing. Because you are a member of the internet generation, I've made it easy for you and flipped the image:
It reads "Game Informer 4.16.09," so on April 16th, right after tax day, we should all know a lot more about Assassin's Creed 2, unless, of course, scans of Game Informer leak onto the internet early! It's not surprising that Game Informer has the exclusive -- the magazine announced the original Assassin's Creed too.
Not everyone loved Assassin's Creed. It seems to be one of those love-it or hate-it divisive titles. What did you think of the first game? What can be done with a sequel to make it better? I mean, other than the gliding, of course.
