While Raymond Padilla is off at Wrestlemania, hanging out with wrestlers and divas, I'm taking over the task of compiling the list of games TheFeed will be playing this weekend. With Ray away, let me tell ya, there are going to be some serious changes 'round here. First off: This post will not be alphabetized at all! It's totally random! Anarchy is in full effect!
Secondly... well, there is no secondly. I guess the changes are relatively minor. But, hey, take a second to leave a comment and let us know which game you are playing this weekend, and which of our choices stinks.
Billy Berghammer: Outside of Ninja-ing around the beach on Saturday with the G4 crew (come join us!), I’m planning on going back and finishing a few games over the weekend. I’m actually torn on what I want to go back to – it’s either going to be Fallout 3 or GTA IV. Either way, I’ll be happily shooting things in the face.
Brian Leahy: Undoubtedly, more Street Fighter IV. I’m “borrowing” a MadCatz FightStick from work and my game has definitely improved. Besides, I think my HORI broke. There will also be Halo 3 multiplayer. Yes, I’ve gone back to Halo 3. I had forgotten how much fun Halo is. Looking back at everything else: CoD4, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Killzone 2... nothing comes close to being as fun as Halo 3. Hitting an enemy Hornet with the Spartan Laser from the back of a Mongoose while my buddy frantically drives to avoid incoming fire... that experience isn’t in any other game. Oh, and I’ll be finishing The Pitt.
Jeffrey Kanjanapangka: Professor Layton and the Curious Village has become a near obsession at this point. Painfully mindboggling, yet so satisfying. I want to be worthy to sport a top hat of Layton’s size. A generous side order of Devil May Cry 4, Geometry Wars Evolved and a continued effort to actually be a somewhat decent player at Empire: Total War will round out the weekend.
Ray find me more hint coins!
Dana Vinson: This weekend, I’m going to continue to dominate the Resident Evil 5 co-op campaign with my friend Chris (bonus that his real name is the same as the valiant virtual hero). I know we’re a little late to the party, but we started playing the weekend RE5 came out and then unfortunately got sidetracked by this thing called “work.” However, both of us have vowed that this weekend we’ll cast aside our responsibilities and plow through this sucker, leaving behind a pile of burnt zombies and shotgun shells so big, it’ll be visible from space.
Raymond Padilla: Sadly, my consoles are 1,635 miles away from me at the moment (according to United Airlines). That's because I'm in Houston for WrestleMania 25!!! I brought my Nintendo DS with me and played a bunch of Pokemon Platinum on the plane. I beat the Elite Four and am the reigning Pokemon champion of Sinnoh. Now it's time to move onto the challenges of Platinum's new Battle Frontier. As a hardcore Pokemon trainer, I love what Battle Frontier has to offer. It gives players a glimpse at the strategies involved in competitive play, as well as hints of what players have to do to properly breed and EV train their Pokemon for competitive purposes. In retrospect, I wish I brought my other DS and my copy of Pokemon Pearl. It would have been handy to have my IV bred and EV trained Pokemon on my Platinum cartridge for Battle Frontier. That's okay though -- tonight I'll be chatting with WWE Superstars and Divas as they participate in THQ's Superstar Challenge video-game tournament, featuring Legends of WrestleMania (pictures soon!). Tomorrow I'll be meeting with some wrestlers before the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. I wonder if "Stone Cold" Steve Austin likes Pokemon....
Frank Meyer: What am I playing this weekend? I'm playing f***in' rock and roll!
Stephen Johnson: Because I am well known for my personal integrity and honesty, I'm not going to lie to you about what I'm playing this weekend. I am playing Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust. Also: I realize I say this every week, but I'm going to say it again: Fallout 3. Specifically, I'm going to finish up The Pitt DLC. But the game I'm most interested in is Ninja Warrior. My co-workers will be running the course out in Santa Monica and it will be fun to watch them crack heads on various obstacles. I'm staying on the sidelines. I'm not crazy.
Eugene Morton: Everybody knows that when it comes to business, the Corleones don't play around. However, I'll be playing around as a member of the Corleone crime family in Godfather II this weekend. I know it's not out yet, but that's one of the perks of working at G4, sometimes you get games early. New York, Miami and Cuba will all bow before the might of the don!
Patrick Roche-Sowa: Well, my Xbox was kinda broken and wouldn’t sign on to Xbox Live...until the update on Thursday. SO I immediately downloaded Dishwasher Samurai, and expect that I’ll be playing that most of the weekend. Also want to level up my character in Fallout 3 to 20 before I download The Pitt. And there’s a small chance I may head back to Fable 2 to see how much money my philanthropy has brought in since I last played the game. I also have to figure out what to do next on Knotthole Island.
Joe Paulding: This weekend, I hope to annoy the crap out of my neighbors by playing drums on Guitar Hero: Metallica. I would be trying out Expert + with double bass, but *#$%!@ GameStop ran out of their pre-order bonus extra bass pedals. Memo to GameStop: If I pre-order a game and you promise a pre-order bonus, make sure and ship enough of them!!! Also, I’m still playing Fallout 3, and if I need to squeeze in something quick, I’ll fire up some tower defense with Defense Grid: Awakening.
