Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers will get their hands on Brutal Legend at some point, but now it looks like Wii owners might be able to get in on the fun. Variety's Ben Fritz is reporting that Electronic Arts will publish a Wii version of the game, but that it will not be developed by Tim Schafer's Double Fine Productions.

Fritz remarks that the Wii version could "[follow] the model of the upcoming "Dead Space: Extraction" and [come] out a year or so after the original PS3/360 version."
No developer is named in the report, but Fritz claims to have confirmation that the title is in development from "several good sources."
The Wii version will most likely be a unique take on the game, not a port. We'll keep you updated when we know more.
