Publisher THQ has set its release slate for the next few years during a presentation made to investors. Notable sequels include follow-ups to the currently unreleased Red Faction: Guerilla and Darksiders: Wrath of War.
Wow, is it me or is THQ becoming even more like Activision? Announcing sequels before games are released and doing so at investor presentations? It must be the way to success.
The releases were shown on a slide for THQ's 2012 fiscal year, which runs from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. This slate also includes a Warhammer 40,000 MMO and a new "animated kid's game."
As for THQ's 2011 fiscal year (April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011), we should see Saints Row 3, an unannounced game from Relic Entertainment, and an unannounced racing game.
So, there you have it: THQ is working on a bunch of games for release in 2011 and 2012. Start the hype machine! Well, unless Red Faction: Guerilla and Darksiders bomb.
