Silent Hill PSX CoverThe latest issue of Nintendo Power has revealed Silent Hill: Shattered Dreams from Konami. The producer, Tomm Hulett, explains that the game will be a "reimagining" and not a "remake or a port" of the original PlayStation game.

The article explains some of the improvements:

“One of Shattered Memories’ most significant and intriguing additions—your answers actually affect how the game unfolds. And it doesn’t end there. The game 'watches' you constantly, and your behavior throughout can determine when you’ll meet certain characters, which scenes you’ll witness, and a variety of other factors.”

Additionally, there is a "way through every locked door; no more checking dozens of entrances only to find that 90% of them are permanently barred shut." Awesome!

As for the Wiimote, the puzzles will be based on motion controls and work on environment interaction. Also, to reduce the amount of backtracking, solutions to puzzles have all been moved to the area immediately around the puzzle.

Now, to fill my joke quota, I speculate that the graphics probably won't be improved at all and could possibly look worse than the original PSX game. Zing.
