When my Xbox LIVE avatar and I are playing an important game of Uno, I don't want the little dude to dress like a damn bum. I care enough about the game to look my very best; why shouldn't he? Luckily for me and my avatar, Xbox LIVE has released a line of more formal clothing today, so I'll finally be able to crush my Uno opponents by intimidating them with a power tie.
Here's what the company is offering:
Male
- Blue Formal Shirt
- Moleskin Pants
- Waistcoat and Shirt
- Suit and Tie
Female
- Pencil Skirt
- Slacks
- Pinstripe Blazer
- Twin Set
Microsoft classifies the new clothing as "business wear," so if you want to dress your little self-representation like a cubicle farmer on employee evaluation day, now you can. Casual Friday be damned! All the new clothing is free.
Seriously, I never use my avatar for anything. I wish avatar support was built into a few more titles. It seems like a waste to create very cool avatars and not have anything to really do with them. What about you? Do you like avatars? How would you like to see them used in games?
