Super NES game Super Punch-Out and original WiiWare game Bonsai Barber are both available right now for download through the Wii's Virtual Console.
Super Punch-Out will run you 800 Wii points and features all the colorful boxing action, pattern recognition and silliness you remember from the original. Although perhaps not as fondly remembered as legendary NES title Punch-Out, Super Punch-Out features a slew of memorable characters like Bear Hugger, Bald Bull and Super Macho Man. "Why Super Punch-Out. Why now?" You may be asking. Because the Wii version of Punch-Out!! comes out soon. Well, on May 18th, anyway.
I'd love to be able to tell you all about Bonsai Barber, but sadly, I haven't played or seen this WiiWare game in action. I can tell you it's the world's premier "first-person-groomer" game and involves the player employing "scissors, clippers, spray can, and more" to give haircuts to vegetables and fruits -- you know, smiliar to pruning a Bonsai tree. That all sounds totally insane, but in a good way. You can also apparently share your awesome hair-cuts with friends via WiiConnect24. It's 1,000 Wii Points and supports up to four players locally.
