Famitsu: 'Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2' Coming to PS3

Scans of the most recent Famitsu magazine have revealed Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PlayStation 3. Details are still light (and in Japanese), but you can put this one in the true column. Expect an official announcement shortly.

TheFeed readers Infamous_Bizarro and cxhxexexsxe provided the following details from a translation they found:

• It will be an upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden 2 (not a direct port) 
• Set to release in Autumn 2009 
• Producer and director: Yosuke Hayashi (From Sigma) 
• Development: Team Ninja

Reported new features in the PS3 version: 

• New weapon - spiked hammer "Genma" 
• New giant boss battles not in the 360 version 
• New playable character - female ninja Ayane (from Dead or Alive)

Again, it's safe to say that this game exists and will be coming the PS3, but be aware that these details are currently based on translations from magazine scans.
