Borat star and awesomely funny comic, Sacha Baron Cohen, recently trained briefly with the Alabama National Guard. He wasn't changing careers: The stint in the military was filmed for upcoming prank movie Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable In The Presence Of A Gay Foreigner In A Mesh T-Shirt.
"They called and said they were a German affiliate of a TV station doing a documentary on what it was like to be in officer candidate school," Staff Sgt. Katrina Timmons said."They wanted to know if they could come here and embed one person for a few hours up to a day."
The military base provided Cohen with a uniform and let him join for a few hours. But, sadly, a solider recognized the comic and alerted higher ranked officers to the ruse. What's that cadet's problem, huh? I mean, if Bruno came to my work, I'd never let on that I knew his true Identity! Why ruin a good prank?
Borat is one of my favorite comedies of all time. What about you? Do you think Sacha Cohen can re-ignite the crazy magic that made Borat so hysterical? Or is Bruno bound to disappoint?
