In spite of (or due to) the controversy surrounding the game's portrayal of Africa, Capcom's Resident Evil 5 has shipped more than four million copies. According to Capcom, this is the biggest launch of any Resident Evil games to date.
Capcom also wants you to know that over 40 million Resident Evil games have shipped since the series began in March of 1996.
My question is this: For those of you who have played it, what do you think? Game Rankings has RE 5 at a critical "score" of a more-than-respectable 85%. But some critics, (like X-Play) and gamers have been less enthused. Is this game any good or do the game's problems totally spoil the fun?
