F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin might not be the most popular online game right now, but at least they're giving away a map-pack. The “Toy Soldier” pack will be available free-of-charge in mid-April on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3. If you were wondering why the maps were available earlier in the week on LIVE and then pulled down, rest assured. They were always meant to be free. This should clear up any confusion and make everything crystal clear for you folks playing F.E.A.R. 2's multiplayer.
The "Toy" part of the map pack's name springs from the fact that players will be shrunken down to tiny size and battle other well-armed-and-armored shrimps for dominance and presumably -- table crumbs.
Shooting shrinky-dinks is an interesting concept, but I thought F.E.A.R. 2 was a horror game. I'm intrigued enough to try it out though. The price is, as they say, "Right."
