We're taking a look at a new laptop that is drop and spill resistant. The magnesium-alloy case and anti-shock mounted LCD screen, as well as an Intel Centrino Duo Processor, 2 GB of RAM and 160 GB of hard drive, protect its innards from impact.
Look below the cut for the written review from Attack of the Show.
What You Need to Know
- Slick for a rugged laptop at about 1.5 inches thick and rounded edges
- Weighs in at 6 lbs. which is a bit much
- Keyboard and touchpad are widely spaced and easy to use
- 15 inch display is a good size, but the protective cover on the screen can hamper visibility at some angles
- Overall visually: It's not your typical ugly weather-proof notebook
- PC Mark tests were respectable scoring at about 4200 points in PC Mark 05
- Passes our shock and drop tests when dropped from the maximum 2.5 feet on any side
- Passes our spill test when liquid is dumped on the keypad
- The same specs are a lot cheaper on normal notebooks, so make sure you need the fancy rugged features
Price
- $1,950
