Internet pirates have gotten their pirate-y hands on Resident Evil 5 and leaked it out to Torrent sites all over the internet. A cracked Xbox 360 version of the game is being downloaded by users as we speak, although the game doesn't officially release on the PS3 and 360 until March 13th.
Two things about this: Maybe it's time for publishing companies to re-think the whole "release date" thing. If the game is finished, release it. I wonder what percentage of pirates are just fans who want to play the game as quickly as possible. Second thing: As a consumer, don't pirate games. Seriously, AAA titles cost a lot of money to make, and if enough people get buy without paying, there will be no profit margin in creating great games, so we'll be playing free-to-play titles only, and when was the last time you got hooked by a free-to-play game? They're nice distractions, sure, but I like epics! If you love games, support 'em!
