You can all breathe a sigh of relief. Eagerly anticipated (?) cheesecake game Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust will be released by Codemasters. The game was in doubt after Activision merged with Sierra's parent company Vivendi, but you can't keep a good horndog down, so Larry will be hitting the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this spring.
The M Rated game finds Larry as a troubled movie mogul. You play as Larry's nephew, Larry Loveage, conducting an investigation to save the studio. The game features Hollywood starlets Carmen Electra and Shannon Elizabeth, while spoofing movies with parodies like Beefcake Mountain. We presume many digital ladies will appear in very little digital clothing.
As a fan of stupid 80s T&A comedies, I've always thought the Leisure Suit Larry series had a lot of potential. I hope this game lives up to the ridiculous grandeur of some of the earlier entries. I also hope it isn't a collection of annoying mini-games like the last Larry.
Here's an awesome idea: Why not introduce a new generation to the the original, classic Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards with a full-on remake?
