Fox To Air 60-Second Scenes From 'Wolverine'

Posted February 13, 2009 - By Joseph Baxter

Starting this weekend, Fox will begin to pump up the hype machine for X-Men Origins: Wolverine by airing a series of three 60-second segments from the film over the course of three nights.

The first segment will air with the Sunday February 15 edition of Family Guy. (You think that's bad? Remember the time Mr. T fought Rick Astley for the Heavyweight Title while Captain Kirk refereed? **CLIP** Boy, was that ever weird.) Anyway, the segments will then continue on Mon. Feb 16, during House. (Spoiler: House thinks it's one thing, nobody believes him. He ends up being right.) Finally, they will conclude during the Tuesday, February 17 edition of American Idol. (Where psycho-wannabe-diva, Tatiana will likely have belted out her final song to America.)

I'm genuinely excited for this film. Some of it looks great, but sometimes, you will see something that just leaves you with a lot of questions about how badly the X-Men lore could possibly be butchered. It's similar to getting punched in face by something, then getting slipped a hundred dollar bill afterwards, only to have the cycle repeat itself. It will be interesting to see how our perception will hold up after seeing genuine scenes.
