SEGA has renewed the trademarks for old-school favorites 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker and Rez, signaling that company at least believes in the possibility of future installments of the two franchises.
A next-gen version of either of these games would be widely appreciated. The Skoal-using, missing-tooth set would love to have a long-distance trucking simulator to practice on. And pretentious art-jerks with bad skin will be totally into another edition of the trance-inducing techno game Rez, even if they snort and tell you it's not as good as the original. Maybe this is enough to bring society together-- once and for all.
If we hear anything more about new installments of either series, of course we'll let you know.
