We all love getting something a little extra. Whether it's an extra piece of pie, an extra ride on the bumper cars, or that extra toe that helps you scratch your foot -- that little bit more is always appreciated.

Such is the topic of this week's Soapbox. The recent downloadable content that was released for Fallout 3 and Fable II showed Adam how much a prompt schedule of doling out the content can enhance his enjoyment of the game. Adam also thinks that if more games promised extended play with downloadable content within 4 months of the release of the game, some people might be more convinced that it's worth the purchase, and the game's sales will see a reasonable boost.

Do you agree with Adam that such quick roll outs of DLC entices you to buy the game? Or do you think it's just a publisher trying to squeeze every dollar they can out of a game by making you pay for parts that they removed before it was released?
