A lot of gamers are very excited for the release of Killzone 2, which, if you read our comments sections, you already know is scheduled to hit stores on February 27th. The hype for this FPS shooter is huge: Early reviews are very positive (a 97% on metacritic!), with reviewers citing both the visuals and the gameplay... but is Killzone 2 going to kill Halo?
Gaming site, Gaming Front believes Killzone 2 could exceed its massive hype, citing three "facts" to support the argument:
- The single player is an epic sci-fi story.
- The Multi-player is better than Halo
- Microsoft will suck the life out the Halo Franchise
Personally, I think it's way too early to call. The game isn't out for another month; few gamers have actually played it. The proof will come when the masses descend into the game's multiplayer... and I can't wait. I also feel that there's room for two massive sci-fi shooters, so there's no reason to even pick a favorite. I don't even quite get how one game can kill another...
