Sony To Release "American Culture Quiz Pack" For 'Buzz! Quiz TV' On January 22

Sony has announced that the "American Culture Quiz Pack" for Buzz! Quiz TV will be released on January 22. The company is trying to tie in this expansion's release with President Barack Obama's inauguration and the upcoming President's Day holiday. Example questions include, "How did 2008 presidential candidate Barack Obama announce his running mate?", "Which American chocolate bar made its debut in 1900?", "Which Virginia colony was the first settlement in the colonial United States?" On Sony's PlayStation Blog Jenny Barbour, the game's associate producer, wrote:

"The American Culture Quiz Pack is bursting with over 500 new questions covering everything from national history to U.S. icons and is a great addition to your BUZZ! Quiz TV question library. With the inauguration today, and President’s Day just around the corner, the American Culture Quiz Pack is a perfect way to help you get your national pride on."

I know Buzz! is more of a mainstream game, but I still have it around for when non-gamer friends come over. Actually, I remember an epic Buzz! marathon that involved a writer from Gamasutra, a producer from 2K, and a marketing person from Square Enix, so it can be fun for hardcore gamers too. (And yes, these are the kind of people that come over my apartment.)

Are you guys into Buzz! at all? Is it too mainstream for you? Or are you down with some trivia on the PlayStation 3?
