You all use Google Maps "street view" feature for whatever silly, as well as serious, sleuthing you may be into, but who knew that it could be useful for actual detective work?
Massachusetts police officers have used it to nab a grandma who allegedly kidnapped a nine-year old girl. They located the little girl's cell phone coordinates to trace her physical whereabouts.
Since she was traced in Virginia, the MA police used Google Maps to try and figure out possible hideouts of the kidnappin' grandmother. They identified where granny and the little girl were holed up and contacted Virginia State Police.
Dayuuum! Now even Big Brother can find you. So much for being under the radar..
