The drama-plagued production of the comic-film adaptation of dark western, Jonah Hex may have a rare bit of optimistic news on their part. The on-again, off-again prospective star Josh Brolin has expressed in the past that his willingness to move forward with the project depends on the creative personnel who will be hired. Since that seemed to change every other week, there was a huge problem. However, in a recent interview, Brolin seemed to be a little more clear in his intentions. When director Jimmy Hayward (best known for animated Dr. Seuss adaptation Horton Hears a Who!) was named to fill the director's chair, Brolin seemed to be ecstatic with the selection, referring to him repeatedly as an "amazing, amazing guy" and that he will bring "brilliance" to the project.
So, it is looking likely that the project will be moving forward. Can they pull off the sleeper hit? They've got me curious, especially if he somehow gets to steal a little girl's bike like he did in The Goonies.
