8GB here without an update insight. I'd love to get 16GB or bigger (if it's out), however I don't think the PSP is going much further. We still haven't seen the best to come, but after 2009 I don't think there'll be much left, or atleast anything to justify more than 8/16GB. PSP 2 needs to have a friggin harddrvie or some form of internal storage that's massive (40GB+).

i have an 8gb, my friend gave it to me for a dollar, and gave me his psp 3000 that he got for christmas to me for 20 bucks. i might upgrade it once that game comes out, but idk

the fact that the psp may be out the door gives me all the reason in the world to upgrade. I have never pirated any games(cept emulators). If the psp is done, im gonna be like friggin blackbeard.

But i will wait until its out. I have a 16 gb card, and i use it like an ipod. For 30 bucks, you CANT beat it. I actually have a bid on one for 1.04 with an hour left right now. I suspect its the same seller that ray went through because its shipping from hong kong

i got 4 gb and i think i am gonna upgrade because i watch a lot of movies on my psp and i can only have 3 or 4 of them at a time.

if they get some better psone games that would can play on a psp with out a ps3, like metal gear solid, i would get a bigger card.

@Thundercracker I don't buy that the PSP is done. 2009 should be an outstanding year for the system. The Square Enix games alone will do super well. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, FFXIII: Agito, Dissidia, and Parasite Eve all look like they'll be good to great games.

There's a reason why the company moved a ton of its projects to PSP, even though DS has a much larger installed base.

well in all reality I have a 4 gig, but I mostly used that for music and movies. now Ive got my zune 120, but I may upgrade later, right now I just dont use it though...

1) How did you come to the brilliant conclusion that "the first thing you think of when you mention Hong Kong is the triads"? That makes no sense at all. It was a joke and you apparently didn't understand it. It's not that the product was from Hong Kong, it was that it was ridiculously cheap and from Hong Kong. Among the many things the Triads do is distribute stolen goods. Do I know that my Memory Stick is stolen? Of course not. Considering how much I bought it for and the endless supply this vendor has, something seems fishy.

2) Your AIDS in Africa comparison makes even less sense. Try again.

3) I don't see how it's offensive. I'm part Chinese and I don't think it's offensive.

i got a question.

how come on FF Crisis Core. They Didnt Show Whenever Sephiroth Burned down neibolom however you spell tifa's home town. they didnt show whenever sephiroth was standing on the flames and then walked away. they missed that part on the game. you know why they did? i was all trying to figure out why but i dont know.

I upgraded to a 256 MB when I frst got my 1000 series system, then I upgraded to 512, then to 2GB (when they were $120), and currently have a 4GB and a new PSP2000 unit. It's a good size- I have several short videos and about a dozen albums on it along with 6 downloadable titles and a bunch of photos and PSP/PS3 themes. I'm looking to trade up to 16GB soon, unless something larger shows up before tax return season...

Hey you may want to try this before getting excited about your ebay purchase or at least keep this in mind. Try loading over 8 gigs on it....

I bought an 8 gig card early last year from a hong kong seller....everything seemed cool until i loaded over 4 gigs on it...the card corrupted and failed and has been since rendered useless :(

I talked with a few others who purchased from the same vendor, same thing...crashed at half capacity....hopefully they were just bad sticks or a bad vendor and its not a pervasive problem...anyway, it was way too late to exchange it by the time it happened.

WOW, nice showing off the 16 gig, that's 4x more than what I got. Then again... I just got my first PSP, so I guess it's fine, I don't see why people are thinking there will be an actual "PSP2", that just sounds stupid... I think Sony will just keep on going with 4000, 5000 and on until they get to 9000, because I'm not sure if they'll ever go over 9000 with the PSP. Btw Padilla, do you use custom firmware?

I use a 1gb on my psp. I'm thinking I might upgrade to a 8gb because I'm running out of space with " The Dark Knight " movie in the 1gb memory stick. It takes almost almost all of my memory. by the way "Fear the Bat!"

hey I had to go look it up it was over a year ago...it was sonysandisk

and it was the 8 gig card...I bought two 4 gig cards from other vendors...one was also from china and they have never given me a problem...but If i were you i would load that thing up with random stuff and check it just to make sure.

I had all kinds of good stuff that luckily wasnt irreplaceable just a pain in the A** to replace.

Anyway hope it helps you out.
