As much as I hate the ESRB for rating and classifying who should be playing what games, I gotta love them for having no concern for sensitive information. Thanks to some Entertainment Software Rating Board documentation, there is now solid information about the next Guitar Hero game for the Nintendo DS.
Titled Guitar Hero: Modern Hits, the new hand-held rockstar simuator will have songs like Sum 41's "Still Waiting," Franz Ferdinand's "The Fallen," Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer," and a bunch of other tunes that no one over the age of 25 will recognize. These songs were confirmed to be in the game by information on the ESRB's rating page and the lyrics contained in the summary.
The DS versions of Guitar Hero have done well for Activision, and Guitar Hero: On Tour even broke sales records when it was released back in June. Is there a large market for these hand-held rhythm games? Or is this just an extension of the already impressive Guitar Hero and Rock Band numbers? Do you have any of the DS versions, and do you plan on picking up this new one?
